Outreach

@ Penn State

I serve as the Vice President of the Statistics Graduate Student Association (SGSA) at Penn State, a student-led organization representing the graduate student body within the Department of Statistics. In this role, I collaborate with fellow student leaders to plan and execute biweekly events, ranging from technical workshops to community-building social gatherings. Dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment, I also served as a graduate representative on the Eberly College of Science Diversity & Climate Subcommittee for the 2025–2026 academic year. Through this subcommittee, I collaborated with faculty and peer representatives to strengthen graduate student advocacy and support across the college.

I am passionate about volunteering for local K-12 STEM outreach events. Working alongside a group of statistics graduate students, I have designed and led interactive activities and workshops aimed at making statistics fun and accessible for K-12 students.

@ UC Irvine

At UC Irvine, I served on the executive boards of Data @ UCI and the Undergraduate Mathematics Committee (formerly known as Faces in Mathematics). As a founding board member of Data @ UCI, the university’s very first data science organization, I designed and hosted technical workshops tailored to helping students break into data careers. I also helped launch UCI’s first-ever datathon, which drew over 200 participants and has since grown into an annual tradition. As president of the Undergraduate Mathematics Committee, I led the organization of weekly research seminars, panels, and UCI’s inaugural Integration Bee. To support our community, I also secured funding awards to establish and upgrade a brand-new undergraduate math study lounge.
